Moti Besser

Diamond Exchange Managing Director since November 2011 to January 2016.

Brigadier General Moti Besser, who until October 2011 served as Managing Director at the State Comptroller's Office, started his new position as Managing Director of the Israel Diamond Exchange in November 2011 at the request of the new President of the Diamond Exchange, Yair Sahar, to lead the Israel Diamond Industry forward in rising to the challenges of the next decade.

The President of the Diamond Exchange, Yair Sahar, said, "Moti Besser brings significant added value to this position due to his extensive experience in managing large and complex organizations in the Israel Defense Forces, the public and the private sectors in Israel and abroad. I have no doubt that Moti will make an important contribution to strengthening the Israeli Diamond Industry, which accounts for one quarter of Israel's industrial exports."

Managing director Moti Besser responded,"The Israel Diamond Exchange, the largest and most sophisticated bourse in the diamond world numbering over3000 members, represents a gigantic economic force in the Israeli economy, spearheading the way among the world's diamond bourses. I see my future participation in heading the exchange as an enormous challenge, especially in light of the tough competition posed by the world's other diamond centers."

Moti Besser parted from the State Comptroller, retired judge Micha Lindenstrauss, receiving his warm blessings, and an appointment to the Advisory Council of the State Comptroller's Office.

Moti Besser, a former Financial Adviser to the IDF Chief of Staff and the Head of Budgets in the Ministry of Defense, served in the past as Managing Director of the Diamond Manufacturers' Association and in several senior positions abroad including Deputy Managing Director of Amdocs London and Managing Director of the State of Israel Bonds in London.
