IDE Trading Hall Packed On 2nd Day of Diamond Week

The second day of the show (Monday) will see the arrival of most of the members of the delegation of buyers from the Diamond Dealers Club of New York.
The second day of the April 6-10 US & International Diamond Week at the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) again saw large levels of activity after the diamond festival was officially opened on Sunday, with many American buyers expected to arrive.

World famous Italian jewelry designer and manufacturer Roberto Coin, the IDE’s Special Guest of Honor, helped open the event on Sunday.

IDE President Shmuel Schnitzer thanked Coin and his wife for agreeing to take part in the Diamond Week.

Hel also thanked the many members of the international diamond industry who arrived from abroad to take part in the event.

Meanwhile, Coin said he was very proud to be invited to take part in the opening of the Diamond Week.

The second day of the show (Monday) will see the arrival of most of the members of the delegation of buyers from the Diamond Dealers Club of New York, Schnitzer said.

Among the highlights of the event that is attracting a great deal of attention is the Rainbow Collection, a unique collection of some 300 fancy colored diamonds owned by the renowned Belgian diamantaire Eddy Elzas.

At the end of the Diamond Week, the collection will be exhibited to the public at large at the Harry Oppenheimer Diamond Museum in Ramat Gan until April 26.
