IDE Donating to Israeli Soldiers In South

On Monday, IDE members can continue to contribute at a point next to guard Emmanuel Attar at the entrance to the Trading Hall.
A booth dedicated to contributions to the Israel Defense Forces was set up on Sunday in the area of the lifts in the Shimshon Building of the Israel Diamond Exchange close to the entrance to the Trading Hall.

The booth was set up by female members of the IDE and wives of diamantiares to provide assistance for Israel Defense Forces soldiers fighting in Gaza and southern Israel by taking in financial contributions.

During the day on Sunday, hundreds of IDE members went to the booth to contribute.

The IDE will use the money to buy personal items for soldiers, including underwear, deodorant and other items.

Anat Castro, a member of the bourse’s Consumer Committee, who was one of the initiators of the move to collect donations, said members could also contribute on Monday.

She said that the exchange was aiming to distribute the items to units where soldiers who are the children of bourse members are serving.

Last week, the IDE sent trucks of personal items to the southern front. IDE President Shmuel Schnitzer said last week, "This is a national duty to assist our soldiers fighting on the front in order to protect residents of the State of Israel. I thank the members of the diamond exchange for their generous donations to this worthy cause."
