Sarine Technologies, which develops and manufactures advanced equipment for the measurement and cutting of diamonds launched yesterday (Tuesday) at a festive event at the diamond bourse a new service called Sarine Loupe.

It is an objective and accurate advanced instrument for the measurement and cutting diamonds to be shown them on the Internet and provides an advanced imaging solution for online commerce. The event was held at the Cullinan restaurant, with IDE President Shmuel Schnitzer present, along with the President of the Israel Diamond Manufacturers Association, Kobi Koren, the Chairman of Sarine, Danny Glinert, Sarine VP for Business Development, Tzafrir Engelhart, members of the IDE Board of Directors and many members of the IDE, with the event run by IDE Deputy President Hezi Bloom.

IDE President Shmuel Schnitzer congratulated the management of Sarine for the new device and said: "Although the world-embracing activity of Sarine, its scientific, technological and strategic base remains in Israel, where the company was established, and the company and its directors deserve much praise for that. The use of laser equipment brought about a dramatic revolution in diamond production in the 1980s, and the Galaxy machine changed the way the diamond world worked."

"There is a reality that reflects the drastic change in our industry. Large parts of this change are related to developing technologies and Sarine is playing a very big part in that. A diamond center that wants to continue to lead, must be an integral part of this new reality," he said.

Israel Diamond Manufacturers Association President Kobi Koren said: "Every time I get an invitation to a new technological development launch, my heart skips a beat. I belong to the old generation who is used to looking at the diamond in my hand with a loupe, but technological innovations are leading to big changes in the industry. There's nothing to think about regarding the past and we must look to the future in order to face the changes and adopt them so that we can become part of the future of the diamond market."

Sarine CEO Uzi Lev-Ami reviewed changes in the diamond sector since the economic crisis of 2008 and said that the industry still continues to suffer from the effects of the crisis. "Banks disappear or are decreasing their exposure to the industry, there is pressure on manufacturers and shop owners to work more efficiently because profits and smaller. Because of credit problems, the amount of time a diamond stays in the pipeline becomes significant. Using the device capabilities of Sarine Loupe shortens this time and allows the diamonds to be directly into trading.

Vice President business development for sharin, tsafrir, anglart introduced the capabilities of sharin loop. "The ability of the device to provide two types of information, looking for the outdoor stone and hellishly allows to refer to two different audiences for the profession and to the final buyer. Shireen guarantees that the diamonds have not been any repair and a photograph is an exact documentation of diamond."

Sarine VP for Business Development, Tzafrir Engelhart displayed the abilities of the Sarine Loupe. "The ability of the device to provide two types of information, looking at the stone's exterior and interior allows the information to be passed on to two different audiences and to the final buyer. Sarine guarantees that the diamond images have not been embellished and the photograph is an exact documentation of the diamond."
