Diamond Dealers Club (DDC) of New York President Reuven Kaufman has announced that some of the Club’s leading members will take part for the first time ever in a special DDC Pavilion at the Hong Kong International Diamond Show in March.

Kaufman said that organizing the pavilion at the Hong Kong Trade Development Council held fair was part of an overall policy by the DDC to open new markets for its members by encouraging them to take part in trade shows throughout the world.

The DDC held an Israel Diamond Week at the Club last month, and DDC members will be taking part in the Israel Diamond Exchange’s February 8-12 International Diamond Week.

“Participation in the Hong Kong Show, which as a trading hub for our industry plays a crucial role in the diamond business, is the latest manifestation of this initiative and follows DDC organized trade delegations in such venues as Dubai and Israel as well as one scheduled for Basel,” Kaufman said.

Kaufman said that there had been strongly supportive feedback from DDC members about the leadership’s policy of creating new trade opportunities for them. He also noted that the DDC leadership was planning new trade initiatives in other countries, as well as working on a multi-bourse diamond week that would take place at the Diamond Dealers Club next year.

Kaufman encouraged attendees at the Hong Kong show to visit the DDC Pavilion in Hall 9 at the AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE) near Hong Kong airport. “Visitors to the DDC Pavilion will be impressed at the unusually wide range of goods available to them at extremely competitive prices,” he said.

DDC participating companies include: Antwerp Sales International (A.S.I.), Brilliante Gem & Diamond, Inc., Charlie’s Gems, Inc., Edelstein Diamonds, Elie Brilliant Gems, Inc., Five C’s, Inc., H. Lipschitz & Son, I & P USA Corp., Kanton Diamonds, Luster Gems N.Y., Inc., Octan & Sons and S.B. Diamond Corp.
