The second day of registration for the combined Israel Electric Corp and Israel Diamond Exchange Club again saw hundreds of diamond exchange members and workers sign up for membership.
World Diamond Council (WDC) President and World Federation of Diamond Bourses Honorary President Eli Izhakoff joined IDE President Yair Sahar on April 22 in signing up for membership for the combined Israel Electric Corp and Israel Diamond Exchange Consumer Club.
Izhakoff met Sahar this morning who briefed him on the establishment and nature of the club which is unprecedented in the history of the exchange. Izhakoff requested to sign up as a member and the two leaders went to one of the registration points in the bourse at the entrance to the trading hall.

Izhakoff congratulated Sahar on his initiative and commented that since the Israeli diamond sector is among the leading industries in the Israeli economy, it is appropriate that it should have a strong Consumer Club and that it would enable the many thousands of people involved in the diamond industry in the country to take advantage of their huge buying power.
