IDE Preparing For Official Start of Diamond Week

Israel Diamond Exchange putting the finishing touches to the event.

With more than 300 Israeli exhibitors registered, the International Diamond Week (IDW) at the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) is all set to officially begin on Monday.

Among the highlights of the diamond week is the opening ceremony at the Trading Hall at 11am in the presence of IDE President Shmuel Schnitzer, Diamond Dealers Club of New York President Reuven Kaufman, Antwerp Diamond Bourse President Marcel Pruwer, and guests of honor: World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB) President Ernie Blom and American Ambassador to Israel Dan Shapiro.

The first day of the event will be rounded off with a cocktail event at a Tel Aviv restaurant hosted by Shmuel Schnitzer.

Meanwhile, on the second day of the show (Tuesday), a special Diam-Tech exhibition will be staged showcasing local diamond technology and software firms. The event starts at noon. At 5:15 pm, there will be an adress made by President of Holon Institute of Technnology Prof. Eduard Yakubov and Sarine Technologies CEO Uzi Levami. The event will be attended by IDE President Shmuel Schnitzer.

On Wednesday, Leibish Polnauer, of Leibish & Co, will give a presentation ‘The World of Fancy Color Diamonds’ in the Cullinan restaurant in the diamond exchange.
