Extension of inspection time will continue

Extension of inspection time will continue

After two years of intensive work with government ministries, a few months ago, the Diamond Controller announced that the inspection time had been extended from 3 days to 30 days.
As part of the decision, it was determined that the decision would be reviewed six months later. The Diamond Controller, Mr. Danny Tal, released a statement that after receiving the results and analyzing the positive implications for our industry, the decision to extend the inspection time will continue under all existing conditions.
Removing this regulatory barrier is a revolutionary step that affects small businesses as well as big companies. In the last six months since the decision was made, there has been a reduction in bureaucracy and there has been a significant increase in the number of transactions.
Mr. Yoram Dvash, President of the Diamond Exchange, spoke about the decision: "I would like to congratulate and thank the Minister of Economy, the Director General of the Ministry, and of course the Diamond Controller, Mr. Danny Tal, and his deputy, Ms. Sigal Shidlovsky. The decision to continue the extension is a testament to the great trust and deep understanding between them and the diamond industry."
