Precious Stones Bourse President Shlomo Eshed Re-elected

In elections that recently took place at the Israel Precious Stones and Diamonds Exchange (IPSDE), President Shlomo Eshed was re-elected.

Israel Precious Stones and Diamonds Exchange (IPSDE) President Shlomo Eshed has been re-elected for a sixth term.

In the January 14 election for the bourse president and management, the following members were elected: Shemesh Matitayahu, Bezalel David-Avikam, Aziz Michel, Michael Domtov, Moshe Mesilati and Eyal Mishaeli.

The IPSDE is a private association of Israeli gemstone dealers. It was founded in 1976, and in 1980 moved to its current location in the Maccabi building of the Israel Diamond Exchange. Its creation and establishment was an innovative idea of the Israeli gemstones sector.

The IPSDE's management is performed by its board of director, which is chaired by President Shlomo Eshed. Its ongoing management is carried out by the Secretariat, and daily activities are conducted by Admissions Committee, The Discipline Committee and the Audit Committee lawyer.

The president, board and committee members are elected every two years by members of the bourse at an annual meeting of shareholders.

The IPSDE is a member of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB) and of the International Colored Gemstone Association.
