IDE reports 100 Israeli firms already registered for U.S. Diamond Week

In excess of 100 Israeli diamond companies have already registered to display and sell diamonds at the U.S. Diamond Week which will take place at the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) from March 17 to 20.
The IDE's trading floor will be the venue for event which the IDE emphasizes is one of several due to be held in March giving a selection of business opportunities to members with buyers from across the globe visiting the bourse.

"The March 17-20 buyers' week is open to accredited diamond dealers from all over the world," emphasized IDE President Yair Sahar. He noted that more than 100 Israeli diamond firms have already signed up to display and sell goods at the event, with many more expected to do so in the coming weeks.

Buyers will be offered complimentary hotel accommodation near the Ramat Gan diamond exchange complex. "The complimentary hotel accommodation is being provided courtesy of the Israel Diamond Institute (IDI)," Sahar noted.

Other sales events due to take place in March include a tender of diamonds of 10.8 carats and larger to be staged by Archos, the Israeli unit of Russia diamond miner Alrosa.

In addition, Diamdel, the De Beers' rough diamond auction subsidiary, is to hold two auctions. One will be for rough stones weighing more than five carats, and the other sale is for rough diamonds weighing 2.5 to four carats.

Furthermore, I. Hennig & Co. Ltd. and Fusion Alternatives Tenders will hold a joint rough diamond tender, while eDiamond, which tenders rough diamonds from Africa and Australia, will hold an online tender. The Rapaport group will hold a polished diamond auction, and Tzoffey's 1818 will hold an exclusive auction for special loose diamonds and extraordinary diamond jewelry pieces.
