New York GIA alumni to hear presentation in safety from JSA head

Jewelers Security Alliance (JSA) President John Kennedy is to address New York-based GIA alumni on March 12 on the subject of How to Stay Safe in a Dangerous Business.
The JSA works in close cooperation with the FBI and local law enforcement bodies on more than 1,500 crimes committed against jewelry firms annually.

Kennedy will speak on the foremost crime risks to jewelers and the best way of avoiding the risk of becoming a victim.

Kennedy's speech will address the risks of robbery, burglary and theft, but will also give information on the dangers to members of the industry when they are on the road or outside a store, office or at home.

A copy of the JSA's Manual of Jewelry Security, the only book on the subject, will be presented to attendees of the presentation.
