IDE Starts Process Of Creating Code Of Ethics

Professor Kasher spoke on several issues related to professional ethics and its importance and centrality for business sectors.

At a meeting at the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE), bourse president Shmuel Schnitzer and IDE management discussed the creation of a code of ethics for exchange members to operate by with Israel Prize winner Professor Asa Kasher and other Israeli experts.

In addition to Professor Kasher, who was one of the creators of the Israel Defense Forces code of ethics, the meeting also featured Professor Isaac Zamir, a former Supreme Court judge and chairman of Israel’s Ethics Center, and Daniel Milo, the General Manager of the Ethics Center in Jerusalem, as well as other participants.

Schnitzer opened the meeting by stating his support for the creation of a code of ethics for the IDE.

Professor Kasher spoke on several issues related to professional ethics and its importance and centrality for business sectors.

Meanwhile, Professor Isaac Zamir spoke on the relationship between ethics, the law, regulatory issues and regulations, while Milo provided an overview of the writing of a code of ethics.

IDE General Manager Moti Besser moderated the meeting which was initiated by the bourse’s values and younger generation committee which is chaired by Emma Yanober.
