Int’l Diamond Week Registration High, Says IDE

The September show will also feature an exclusive polished diamond auction by the Rapaport Group. Meanwhile, negotiations are also taking place with other partners for the organization of additional, value-adding events during the week.
With registration open for the International Diamond Week in Israel, a customized diamond sales event for accredited diamond buyers organized by the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE), the number of registered buyers is already at twice the level seen at the summer edition of the polished diamond sales event held in August 2013.

"We're currently some two months away from the opening of the late summer edition of this exclusive diamond sales festival that will be held from September 1-4," IDE General Manager Moti Besser noted. "The registered numbers of buyers and participants from abroad is already double of that of the same time last year."

IDE President Shmuel Schnitzer said that the market's awareness of the unique business model of the International Diamond Week was growing worldwide. "The event's unique model, and the close cooperation with the Diamond Dealers Club of New York and the Antwerp Diamond Bourse prove to be a winning formula for creating an exclusive diamond selling and buying event on the bourse's trading floor here in Ramat Gan."

Qualified buyers who register for this late summer edition of this exclusive diamond buying event will be offered up to four free hotel nights in the designated venue hotels. "We have secured blocks of rooms at several hotels close to the Ramat Gan Diamond Exchange complex," Besser said. "They will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis, and therefore, we urge interested buyers to register quickly and not to wait."
