Sotheby's Geneva Announces a New Date for Its Next Fine Jewellery Auction
The Fine Jewellery auction, the first in a series dedicated to fine jewels, is due to take place on June 1st this year in Geneva .
Leading the auction are works by Michelle della Valle, one of the most original and creative jewelers of our time.
All 82 items are characterized by daring use of color, imagination and humour. Unlike other jewel auctions, classified as “Noble” or “Magnificent”, this auction, classified as “fine” addresses a broader and younger audience, easily drawn to Michelle della Valle’s breathtaking designs and his use of motifs from the Flora and Fauna worlds.
David Bennett, Worldwide Chairman of International Jewellery at Sotheby’s, praised Michelle della Valle and said it is a delight to open the auction series with the works of the artists, “Who turns stories, dreams and legends into daring and imaginative creations”.
